About the position

The IT Support Technician role at Robert Half involves providing essential technical support within the manufacturing industry. This position is focused on resolving technical challenges, handling user queries, and ensuring efficient operation of IT systems, particularly in a Windows environment. The technician will utilize various tools and technologies, including Microsoft O365 and Active Directory, to deliver high-quality support to end-users.

Responsibilities

  • Providing Tier 1 technical support to end-users.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving email issues, focusing on Outlook and Office 365 problems.
  • Utilizing the ServiceNow ticketing system for efficient incident management.
  • Addressing and resolving password-related concerns promptly.
  • Conducting WiFi troubleshooting to ensure connectivity and resolve related issues.
  • Performing hardware and software troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues efficiently.
  • Demonstrating expertise in Dell computer troubleshooting and Windows operating systems.
  • Assisting users with queries and technical challenges related to Teams.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 7 is required.
  • Experience with Active Directory is a must.
  • 2+ years of experience or a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality service.
  • Detail-oriented and friendly demeanor, with strong interpersonal skills.
