About the position

The IT Support Technician role at Ehub Global involves providing technical support and maintenance for IT systems, particularly in a Windows Server environment. The position requires hands-on experience with server administration, security compliance, and troubleshooting various IT equipment. The technician will work onsite in Galliano, LA, and may be required to work on an offshore platform, adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and perform hardware upgrades on Windows servers.
• Start and stop servers and vSphere as needed.
• Manage patching and apply service packs through WSUS and SCCM.
• Conduct anti-virus updates and ensure security compliance for servers.
• Perform break-fix tasks for IT gear in the data center, including storage and compute servers.
• Maintain and implement PCN/SCADA/DMZ scheduled tasks and reporting scripts.
• Backup and restore servers using Acronis.
• Manage Acronis server support using Halo Lens.
• Troubleshoot and configure network printers, including supply ordering.
• Provide first-level support for AM and FM two-way radios.
• Deliver Level 1 desk-side support for customers and third-party vendors.
• Track IT assets and receive IT equipment at the site.
• Decommission IT equipment as necessary.
• Escort hardware engineers or third-party visitors in server equipment areas as required.
• Conduct safety training and communications.
• Assist in hurricane contingency procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working in an enterprise IT environment.
• Experience in Windows Server administration.
• Experience in security hardening of servers and maintaining systems to defined security standards.
• Proficiency in anti-virus and patch management of servers.
• Prior experience with offshore platforms is preferred.

Benefits

• Contract position with a pay range of $15.00 - $20.00 per hour.
• 8-hour shifts with a schedule of 14 days on and 14 days off.
