About the position

The IT Support Technician is responsible for the operational maintenance, support, and upgrades of operating systems, workstations, and servers. This role requires a strong understanding of various IT systems and protocols, as well as the ability to provide support to a diverse user base. The technician will also be on call one weekend per month, highlighting the need for flexibility in this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operational maintenance and support for operating systems, workstations, and servers.
• Manage Active Directory and network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Install and configure applications as needed.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, and printers.
• Provide support to a diverse population, requiring discretion and flexibility.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows)
• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with Active Directory management
• Ability to install and configure applications
• Proficient in hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, printers)
