About the position

As an IT Technician at Vaco, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This position is ideal for recent graduates in Computer Science or related fields who are eager to kickstart their careers in IT support. From day one, you will receive personalized training that will equip you with hands-on experience in the latest software and technologies. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor and maintain application systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance to minimize downtime. You will be the go-to person for resolving technical issues and improving the overall efficiency of our IT infrastructure. In this role, you will be tasked with installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting both hardware and software components. You will manage user queries, providing first and second-level support, and escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary. Additionally, you will provide remote troubleshooting support for multiple offices, manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, and document all technical procedures and user guides for the applications you support. Training users on new features and functionalities will also be part of your responsibilities, as well as participating in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing system efficiency and user satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain application systems and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of Technical Support experience or internship experience is highly desired.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field will be considered in place of experience.
  • Familiarity with computer networking protocols, hardware and software (cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, Access Points, VPN clients).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • A continuous learning mindset and eagerness to learn new skills hands-on.
