About the position

The IT Support Technician is responsible for configuring, repairing, and upgrading desktop and notebook computers, along with associated peripheral devices. This role involves providing technical support to internal and external customers through various communication methods, ensuring timely completion of IT work tickets, and maintaining corporate procurement standards during installations.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned IT work tickets accurately and timely, providing technical support via phone, in-person, or other methods as required.
  • Prepare new IT assets for deployment, including initial program loads and user-specific setups for standard desktop applications.
  • Troubleshoot PC hardware and software problems, including detecting and removing virus infections.
  • Implement and enforce hardware, software, and procedural controls to prevent data corruption.
  • Install PC equipment while adhering to corporate procurement standards.
  • Assist with gathering and shipping IT assets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • CompTIA A+ Certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience in IT Support or Computer Repair.
  • Experience troubleshooting network connectivity and performing network cabling work.
  • General PC, hardware, and troubleshooting experience required.
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Goal-oriented with exceptional attention to detail, able to work independently and in team situations.
