About the position

The IT Support Technician at Booking.com is responsible for providing technical support to employees, ensuring the smooth operation of IT services and systems. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving issues related to desktops, laptops, and phone systems, both on-site and remotely. The technician will also engage in administrative tasks related to user accounts and contribute to the overall growth of the team through various support and recruitment efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to all employees of Booking.com face to face and remote through phone and email.
  • Diagnose technical support/IT problems on desktops, laptops, and phone systems and provide effective resolutions.
  • Carry out local onsite maintenance tasks.
  • Liaise with local customers to ensure the regular running of business operations.
  • Proactively communicate with users on the progress of outstanding support calls and provide timelines for resolution.
  • Document and supply information to the knowledge base.
  • Prepare computer hardware for use.
  • Engage in administrative maintenance on user accounts.
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve issues and support Booking.com's growth through recruitment efforts.

Requirements

  • Experience providing IT technical support.
  • Sophisticated troubleshooting experience both on-site and remote.
  • Troubleshooting experience and installation knowledge of Microsoft and Apple products and applications.
  • Experience with SCCM, JAMF/Casper suite for imaging.
  • Experience with mobile devices: phones and tablets.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Google Suite in an enterprise environment.
  • Understanding of and experience with Active Directory and Windows Server usage, AD Domain's, DNS service, DHCP service.
  • Understanding of and experience with TCP-IP, LAN, WAN, Internet Explorer and/or Chrome browser.
  • Experience with PC and Laptop hardware in an enterprise environment: both Mac and Windows.
  • Experience fixing standalone and network printers.
  • Experience with any ticketing system.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
