About the position

The IT Support Technician at BradyPLUS is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to employees, ensuring prompt resolution of IT-related issues. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving and communication skills to maintain and support IT systems effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
  • Assist with the setup and deployment of new hardware and software.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and ensure it is up-to-date.
  • Document and track all support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Conduct regular system maintenance and updates.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on various IT tools and applications.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Familiarity with network concepts and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed.
