About the position

We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of network administration, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently. This position will also have a help desk component to assist employees with their IT issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end-users via help desk services, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Analyze and troubleshoot problems related to TCP/IP networking, ensuring optimal performance of network services.
• Assist in the deployment and management of software applications.
• Conduct routine maintenance on IT systems, including updates and patch management.
• Collaborate with team members on network administration tasks to ensure system reliability and security.
• Document all support activities and maintain accurate records of issues resolved.
• Provide training and guidance to users on various software applications, including Microsoft Office suite.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a technical support role or similar position.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles and protocols.
• Familiarity with help desk operations and ticketing systems.
• Experience with SCCM for software deployment and management is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Relevant certifications in IT support or networking (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus.
