About the position

The IT System Admin I at BH Management Services is responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of information technology systems. This role involves mentoring team members, providing support, and serving as an escalation point for IT Support Technicians. The position emphasizes a strong commitment to customer service and requires representing the company professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Administer servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, company mobile phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
  • Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
  • Ensure systems work properly together and maintain system reliability and resiliency.
  • Make recommendations for future upgrades and maintain network and system security.
  • Ensure assigned systems meet all compliance requirements and troubleshoot escalated problems reported by users.
  • Evaluate and modify the system's performance and assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
  • Audit workflows, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
  • Monitor trends and make recommendations to improve efficiencies.
  • Complete installation, configuration, and maintenance to meet defined requirements.
  • Maintain BH Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards and assess systems for compliance with company guidelines and policies.
  • Create and update knowledge-based WIKI articles.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technology related field or 6-8 years' experience in field or related area including three (3) years help desk support experience.
  • Complex troubleshooting, problem-solving and support skills.
  • Knowledge or study in administering and maintaining technology systems such as foundational infrastructure (Windows Server, virtualization, network, database).
  • Experience with workspace technology (PC, VoIP, MDM, conferencing).
  • Understanding of information security, risk and availability (SIEM, BCP/DR, NIST Standards).
  • Familiarity with public and private cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, O365, other SaaS platforms).
  • Ability to engage in all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize work functions.
  • Ability to lead, mentor and train team members.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a 90% or higher Service Level Agreement (SLA) for assigned systems.
  • Excellent customer service, timely response and customer focus skills.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and ability to work with a diverse group of people in a collaborative environment.
