About the position

The IT System Admin II at BH Management Services is responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of information technology systems. This role involves mentoring team members and serving as a key contact for IT support, ensuring high levels of service for both internal and external customers. The position requires a strong commitment to system security and compliance, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities

  • Administer servers, laptops, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, and mobile devices.
  • Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
  • Maintain and improve system security and resilience to cyber threats.
  • Ensure systems work properly together and maintain system reliability.
  • Make recommendations for future upgrades and maintain network and system security.
  • Troubleshoot escalated problems reported by users and analyze issues.
  • Evaluate and modify system performance and assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
  • Audit workflows, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
  • Create and update knowledge-based WIKI articles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or 8-10 years' experience in the field or related area.
  • Three years of system administration experience.
  • Complex troubleshooting, problem-solving, and support skills.
  • Experience in common IT security frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in administering and maintaining foundational infrastructure (Windows Server, virtualization, network, database).
  • Experience with workspace technology (PC, VoIP, MDM, conferencing).
  • Knowledge of information security, risk, and availability (SIEM, BCP/DR, NIST Standards).
  • Familiarity with public and private cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, O365, other SaaS platforms).
  • Ability to engage in all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work functions.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and train team members.
