About the position

Regional West Health Services is an independent, integrated health care delivery system based in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, seeking an innovative System Administrator. In a changing and competitive marketplace, you will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure for Regional West Health Services. You will ensure the development and implementation of programs which support the effective and efficient flow of patient's information across the system and maximize financial and clinical performance. As the RWHS System Administrator, you will be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. You will schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IS policies and procedures. Additionally, you will perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure.
• Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IS policies and procedures.
• Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.

Requirements

• Experience in system administration and management of IT infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of hardware and software installation and configuration.
• Ability to perform system backups and recovery operations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in healthcare IT.
