About the position

As an IT System Administrator at 21 Air LLC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's network systems. Your primary responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and supporting our local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet systems. You will monitor the network to ensure availability for all users and perform necessary maintenance to support this availability. Additionally, you will maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, which include computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. In this position, you will also be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing network security measures to protect our data, software, and hardware. Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, or other network and system problems will be a key part of your role, and you will need to replace defective components when necessary. Your expertise will help us maintain a secure and efficient network environment that supports our operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and support the organization's LAN, WAN, and internet systems.
  • Monitor network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance.
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or network problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience.
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network-related fields are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners.
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.
  • Ability to perform shell scripting; working knowledge of Windows Server/Active Directory.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud services and virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
