About the position
The Systems Administrator at Systems Chief will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and installing systems for customers. This role serves as the first point of contact for technical support, ensuring effective communication and education for customers regarding their systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong time-management and communication skills, enabling them to collaborate with various employees and leaders within the company while addressing technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Respond to calls and emails, provide fast follow-up, and identify solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to elaborate on project statuses and winning achievements.
- Configuration/administration of workstations, laptops, printers, or servers.
- Configuration/administration of Windows-based Active Directory and Domains.
- Update PowerShell scripts.
- Solid understanding of IP networking including DNS, subnetting, and routing.
- Installation, configuration, and testing of wired/wireless networks.
- Software and hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Detailed documentation of all client systems and job details.
- Providing support for cloud-based applications and for IT related systems (VOIP phones, VPN connections, etc.).
- Resolve network-related issues (Internet connectivity, network drives, switches, firewalls, modems, routers, WAPs, etc.).
- Install and troubleshoot consumer and commercial hardware and software and services.
- Familiarity with network drawings, schematics, and topologies.
Requirements
- Prior Technical Support experience
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, equipment, technology and other performance-monitoring tools
- Strong understanding of proactive customer service
