About the position

The IT Systems Administrator at Ally Communications is a pivotal role aimed at enhancing the technical expertise of the team as the company expands its Managed IT services. This position involves managing support requests, overseeing installation projects, and mentoring junior staff, all while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. The role is dynamic, requiring adaptability and a proactive approach to emerging technologies and client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and qualify support requests
  • Ensure accurate details and descriptions of issues
  • Resolve as many requests on the first contact as possible
  • Provide basic support for WAN/LAN, VoIP, workstations, and servers
  • Install software, workstations, and network hardware
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction (CSAT) score
  • Install network hardware, infrastructure, and cabling
  • Design, implement, and train on Ally Voice (VoIP platform)
  • Onboard/offboard managed IT clients, users, and workstations
  • Configure and install workstations, servers, printers, and other peripherals
  • Plan and collaborate on technical projects internally and externally
  • Act as an escalation point for server support and complex issues
  • Support workstations, mobile devices, and users as required
  • Coach and support Tier 1 team to reduce escalations
  • Schedule and manage proactive management of client environments
  • Maintain 80% utilization between helpdesk and projects
  • Create and maintain documentation of incident and problem resolutions

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience performing IT support in a business environment
  • Qualifications and certifications such as A+, N+, Project+, Security+, MSP, MCSE, CISP
  • Advanced analytical and troubleshooting proficiency
  • Experience designing, installing, and managing advanced IT infrastructure
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent conflict management skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to think critically and creatively
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 - Outlook, Excel, Word
