About the position

The IT Systems Analyst at CoxHealth is a pivotal role responsible for the design, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting of IT applications, ensuring their availability, stability, and reliability. This position requires a proactive approach to monitoring system performance, identifying and resolving technical issues, and ensuring the efficient operation of all clinical systems. The analyst will provide technical support to end-users and collaborate with other IT teams to address complex technical problems related to clinical systems. A strong understanding of oncology integration points and experience as an Oncology nurse is essential for this role. The IT Systems Analyst will manage the implementation process of clinical IT systems and applications, ensuring that all systems operate smoothly and effectively. Additionally, the analyst will troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues, contributing to the overall success of the IT department and the healthcare organization as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Design, test, implement, and troubleshoot IT applications.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical support to end-users.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Manage the implementation process of clinical IT systems and applications.
  • Ensure efficient operation of all clinical systems.

Requirements

  • Preferred: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Required: 2 years of experience in healthcare clinical workflows and/or IT support.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows.
  • Knowledge of at least one clinical IT system, including EHRs, PACS, and LIS.
  • Ability to follow project plans and details.
  • Attention to detail in data entry and documentation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the healthcare environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multiple clinical IT systems.
  • Knowledge of project management concepts and tools.
  • Effective data analysis skills and reporting for project purposes.
