About the position

The IT Systems Analyst IV position supports the Air Force Cyber Assessment Team (AFCAT) within the 688th Cyberspace Wing, conducting Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA) at various Air Force locations globally. The role focuses on enhancing the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) by assisting commanders in strengthening their information systems and improving cyber defense strategies. Team members will specialize in Cyber Operational Risk Assessments, addressing areas such as endpoint security and network vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Determine technology areas for personal training in conjunction with supervisor.
• Obtain JFHQ-DODIN certification in assigned technology areas and complete required assessments.
• Ensure all certification requirements are up to date, including a minimum of 4 assessments per technology area each fiscal year.
• Utilize appropriate tools and methodologies based on JFHQ-DODIN standard processes and procedures.
• Stay informed on strategic priorities to inform base selection for CORAs.
• Advocate for access to enterprise assets and capabilities for CORA preparation.
• Support daily assessment meetings and provide summaries to leadership.
• Complete assessment checklists as required.
• Participate in teleconferences with base leadership to identify issues and inform commanders on risk.
• Provide written feedback on process update recommendations.
• Coordinate travel arrangements with assessment team members.
• Complete supervisory and administrative tasks as required.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) + 5 years of experience, or 8+ years of related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent critical thinking skills.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
