About the position

The IT Systems Analyst at LCMC Health is responsible for analyzing user requirements and improving existing information technology systems to enhance clinical functions. This role involves developing and maintaining the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and related applications to meet regulatory standards and user needs, ensuring security and efficiency in healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements and procedures to automate clinical functions.
• Develop and maintain the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and ancillary applications.
• Design and build applications to meet the needs of providers, staff, and patients.
• Troubleshoot application issues and determine the best resolution.
• Perform maintenance tasks for assigned applications as required.
• Review and test changes in newly released software to ensure integrity.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all system configurations and required areas.
• Prepare detailed programming and/or integration specifications as required.
• Communicate effectively with leadership and customers regarding progress and potential risks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 0 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
• 2 years of IT, Epic, or healthcare experience with an Associate's Degree.
• 4 years of IT, Epic, or healthcare experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
• EPIC application certification required to be obtained after initial onboarding.
