About the position

As an IT Systems Architect at Worldpay, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our global fintech platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to design and maintain the foundational architecture that supports our extensive range of payment solutions. This position is integral to our Customer Experience team, which is dedicated to providing world-class support to both internal and external customers. You will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to innovation and excellence, constantly seeking ways to enhance our systems and processes to better serve our clients. In this role, you will be tasked with defining and maintaining a comprehensive library of functional component models for various Worldpay product lines. This involves documenting functional product solutions and identifying key opportunities within Worldpay's financial services offerings. You will also be responsible for maintaining a catalogue of reusable functional application components that are relevant to our applications and product lines. Your expertise will be crucial in influencing the selection, operation, and administration of systems and software that support vital business processes. The position offers flexibility, allowing you to work from our Cincinnati, OH hub or remotely within the US. While our team is large and spread across North America, we prioritize collaboration and regularly create opportunities for in-person celebrations and teamwork. Your contributions will not only impact the architecture of our systems but also enhance the overall customer experience, making it easier for millions of people to engage with our payment solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain a library of functional component models for Worldpay product lines.
  • Document functional product solutions and key Worldpay financial services opportunities.
  • Maintain a catalogue of reusable functional application components relevant for applications and product lines.

Requirements

  • Expertise with end-to-end systems development life cycles and a background leading large projects.
  • Five or more years in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment, working with relational or hierarchical databases.
  • Experience designing and implementing applications in a shared service bureau environment.
  • Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques.
  • A bachelor's in computer science or engineering, or the equivalent experience; post-graduate education desired.
