About the position

The IT Systems Engineer l (Onboarding) is responsible for onboarding new clients into VC3 services, ensuring a thorough and efficient process. This role involves extracting information from clients about their networks, documenting new environments, and applying best practices to client networks. The position emphasizes collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement in technical services.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow The VC3 Way, maintaining standards and processes for predictable client results.
  • Conduct thorough onsite and remote discovery and documentation of new standard client networks.
  • Assist with the discovery and documentation of advanced client networks.
  • Verify that tools and internal processes are deployed and configured to standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of client environments, ensuring accurate communication to internal teams.
  • Offboard VC3 tools and services from departing clients.
  • Analyze client technical environments for alignment with documented best practices and standards.
  • Visit client sites for ongoing reviews of their technical environment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to review network reports and align technology direction with business objectives.
  • Provide outstanding delivery of technical services, ensuring continuous improvement in processes and client networks.
  • Maintain accurate timesheets and document troubleshooting and communication with clients.
  • Receive mentoring and feedback from peers and escalate complicated issues as necessary.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions, creating and updating documentation as needed.

Requirements

  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to analyze complex issues.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, comfortable interfacing with client executive teams.

  • At least 1 year of experience at VC3 in the Alignment Analyst L1 role or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 industry-standard certification (A+, Net+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, Juniper, Sonicwall, or similar).
  • At least 2 years of practical experience managing technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Cloud environments, LAN/WAN Technologies, Firewalls, VPNs, and Virtualization Technologies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the VC3 alignment process and best practices.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree or equivalent real-world experience.
