About the position

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a talented IT Systems Engineer with Top Secret/SCI clearance to design and implement integrated, scalable on-premise platforms for government customers in Chantilly, VA. Responsibilities

• Work within a well-established team to support government customers.
• Design and deploy an on-premise scalable platform integrated with existing systems management platforms.
• Provide design documentation and recommendations including risk assessments and timelines.
• Design, document, and implement a VMWare/vSphere virtual environment.
• Provide knowledge of networking principles and configuration of Microsoft servers.
• Work with storage architecture including iSCSI, LUNs, and RAID.
• Administer Linux/Unix based operating systems.
• Showcase knowledge of network, storage, and compute virtualization technologies.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly is a MUST
• 8-10 years of experience in Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DFS, DHCP, and other network services
• Experience with VDI technologies (Citrix XenApp/VDA, MS RDS, VMware)
• Networking experience: TCP/IP, LAN/DMZ/WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching, and Firewalls
• Scripting/Automation experience (PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, Perl)
• Cloud experience including Azure and O365
• Working experience with Linux operating systems.
