About the position

The IT Systems Support Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of IT systems, including workstations, servers, and network infrastructure. This role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and developing training materials while maintaining effective communication with leadership to implement solutions and preventive measures.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve and log emails sent to IT support.
  • Respond and resolve IT related issues over the phone.
  • Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot company mobile phones.
  • Install operating systems and user applications on desktop and laptop PCs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and data recovery.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Implement anti-virus software and use it for virus and spyware removal as needed.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot printers of all types including laser, thermal, and impact.
  • Provide support to Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV).
  • Resolve any Microsoft imbedded OS configuration issues.
  • Resolve any mobile and wireless device issues.
  • Setup, configure, and troubleshoot network devices and infrastructure.
  • Process approved "I.T Request" forms, including creating new user accounts and changing user access.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, organized work area.
  • Update equipment inventory and maintain assets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Office applications.
  • Experience with network technologies such as switches, routers, and access points.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly in explaining technical concepts in non-technical terms.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Strong analytical and technical ability to solve complex problems.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Linux is a plus.
  • Warehouse experience and warehouse IT experience is a plus.
  • Logistics understanding and technology related to logistics within a warehouse environment is a plus.
  • Past work or understanding the process of AGVs is a plus.
