About the position

As an IT Systems Technician at Uline's new Ohio location, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our warehouse and office environments are equipped with the necessary technology to operate efficiently. This position is essential as we expand our operations in Ohio, and it offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of North America's top distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials. You will be responsible for setting up and managing various technological devices, including computers, printers, audio/visual equipment, and mobile devices, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally to support our employees' needs. In addition to equipment management, you will be tasked with installing and organizing network cables for workstations and data cabinets, which is vital for maintaining a reliable and efficient network infrastructure. Your role will also involve assisting with employee workspace and building changes, which may require you to adapt to new layouts and configurations as our operations evolve. Troubleshooting technical support requests will be a significant part of your responsibilities, as you will manage user accounts, including permissions, to ensure that all employees have the access they need to perform their jobs effectively. You will also oversee the equipment check-in process and conduct inventory audits to maintain accurate records of all technological assets. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing excellent support to your colleagues. Responsibilities

  • Set up and manage computers, printers, audio/visual equipment, and mobile devices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of IT experience with demonstrated knowledge of networking, hardware, and application systems.
  • Understanding of Windows OS, Group Policy, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Ability to provide on-call support on a rotational basis with occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
