About the position

The IT Team Manager for Project Delivery Services at Honda is responsible for overseeing the delivery of IT sustain and customer projects across the North America region. This role involves managing a portfolio of division projects and supporting numerous customer projects annually, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and execution. The manager will lead a team of project managers, focusing on demand management, resource allocation, and budget oversight, while also defining and implementing IT policies and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure streamlined delivery of IT sustain and customer projects throughout the NA Region.
• Lead the Project Manager Team to plan, coordinate, and direct project activities and enhancements.
• Manage a budget greater than $4M and overall project health.
• Work closely with decision makers to identify and implement cost-effective technology solutions.
• Define and implement Regional IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent work experience with a focus on Systems Infrastructure and Platforms.
• Minimum 8 years of IT business work experience, with 3 to 5 years in a Project or IT Leadership role.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies, Infrastructure Networks, and server virtualization.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of network and server operating systems (UNIX, Windows, LINUX, OS/400, z/OS).
• Strong understanding of project management principles (Agile, Waterfall, SAFe).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
