About the position

The IT Analyst position within Application Engineering at AIG is a supportive role focused on developing, supporting, and building engineering knowledge. The role involves collaboration with delivery and application teams on business-critical technology projects, refining internal application decommissioning processes, and maintaining documentation for key metrics and executive reporting. The analyst will also participate in Application Lifecycle assessment reviews and ensure adherence to operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support engineering knowledge within Application Engineering.
• Collaborate with delivery and application teams on technology projects.
• Refine and mature internal application decommissioning processes.
• Create and maintain internal documentation including key metrics and executive reporting.
• Participate in Application Lifecycle assessment reviews for future decommissioning candidates.
• Partner with business and application teams to ensure adherence to operations standards.
• Prepare status reports for c-suite audience using analytics.
• Communicate complex ideas in a simple manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, programming, information technology, engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in Information technology support areas in a financial institution.
• 2+ years experience in project management or equivalent coordination role in a financial institution.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills with a high solutions orientation.
• Excellent English communication skills (written, verbal, and comprehension).
• Resilient, resourceful, self-directed, and motivated.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
• Familiarity with tools such as Confluence and Candor.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
