About the position

The IT Tech - Help Desk position is a temporary role focused on providing customer service and technical support to end users in both onsite and remote locations. The primary responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and supporting various technologies utilized in farming operations. This role requires effective communication skills and resourcefulness to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to end users for onsite and remote locations.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, and other systems.
  • Support desktop environments within a Windows network.
  • Maintain, install, and support network and infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and maintain technologies utilized in farming operations.
  • Install software, updates, and patches according to policies.
  • Resolve hardware and software problems and perform PC setup and installation.
  • Support new and existing software/hardware installations across all sites.
  • Assist with maintaining asset inventories of hardware and software licenses.
  • Support Cloud computing technologies such as Azure.
  • Support the Virtualized environment (VMware/ESXi).

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-5 Years of Experience supporting numerous information technologies in a multi-location environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the usage and support of Windows (server and desktop installs) and Office 365.
  • Ability to troubleshoot end user issues using various techniques.
  • Proficiency in the usage, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user hardware including PCs, server builds, and mobile devices.
  • Demonstrated ability performing hardware upgrades and repairs as required.
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Cloud computing technologies such as Azure.
