About the position

The IT Tech position at Adirondack Medical Center involves providing technical support for the hospital's information systems, network, and personal computers. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of IT services within the healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for in-house hospital information systems.
• Troubleshoot and install PC hardware and operating systems.
• Support traditional host-based and client/server applications.
• Assist with network infrastructure issues including Ethernet and TCP/IP protocols.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in a computer field strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to install and troubleshoot PC hardware and operating systems including Windows XP/Vista/7.
• Broad knowledge of PC software, particularly Microsoft Office, Back-up Exec, anti-virus programs, Internet browsers, and e-mail clients.
• Experience supporting traditional host-based and client/server applications.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure including shared and switched Ethernet, TCP/IP protocol, hardware devices, and cabling.
