About the position
The position involves providing technical support for the in-house hospital information system, network, and personal computers. This role is crucial in ensuring that all technical aspects of the hospital's information systems are functioning optimally to support healthcare operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hospital information systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with personal computers and network systems.
- Install and configure PC hardware and operating systems.
- Support traditional host-based and client/server applications.
- Assist users with software applications, particularly Microsoft Office and other essential programs.
Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to install and troubleshoot PC hardware and operating systems including Windows XP/Vista/7.
- Broad knowledge of PC software, particularly Microsoft Office, Back-up Exec, anti-virus programs, Internet browsers, and e-mail clients.
- Experience supporting traditional host-based and client/server applications.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure including shared and switched Ethernet, TCP/IP protocol, hardware devices, and cabling.
