About the position

The IT Technical Network Systems Engineer is responsible for providing comprehensive end-user support primarily for the Los Angeles office, with a focus on users in the United States. This role emphasizes effective communication, management of IT software and hardware changes, and system administration, ensuring seamless support for users both locally and remotely. The position requires a strong understanding of Apple MAC systems and user collaboration tools, along with a commitment to promoting IT best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth end-user support for all users in the Los Angeles office.
  • Manage IT software and hardware changes, including printers and documentation.
  • Provide system administration support for desktop applications and user collaboration tools.
  • Maintain and oversee the backup infrastructure, ensuring daily backups are performed.
  • Conduct new starter training and inductions as required.
  • Maintain IT security systems, including fire alarms.
  • Manage Cisco Meraki systems and collaborate on global application deployments.
  • Address daily user-related issues and escalate as necessary.
  • Check stock levels of critical components weekly and update stock-related documents.
  • Provide timely reports to IT management on task progress and ongoing activities.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a Technical Network Systems Engineer.
  • Strong customer and client-facing skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Apple MAC (IOS) and supporting desktop applications.
  • Solid understanding of user collaboration tools and asset management tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 2008+ and Google Suite support.
  • Familiarity with MAC OSX Server Administration and Adobe applications.
  • Exposure to JAMF Mobile Device Management (MDM) and backup applications is advantageous.
  • Good documentation and analytical skills with a focus on user satisfaction.
  • Experience supporting 100+ employees and managing mobile devices (iPhones, iPads, MacBooks).
  • Good interpersonal skills for developing relationships with clients and peers.
