About the position

The IT Technical Project Management role at Citi is a leadership position within the Global Functions Technology (GFT) organization, responsible for overseeing the delivery of innovative technology solutions that support various business functions such as Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Human Resources. The role requires a strong focus on user experience and project management, ensuring that applications align with strategic goals and meet the needs of a large global user base.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all technology components of diverse, moderately complex IT projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, and quality.
• Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
• Communicates with end-users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates.
• Has shared responsibility for policy formulation and planning.
• Contributes to the formulation of strategies for IT project leadership and other functional areas.
• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of how areas of IT project leadership integrate to achieve business goals.
• Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations.
• Directly impacts the IT project leadership area through responsibility for delivery of end results and shared responsibility for budget management.
• Persuades and influences others through communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties.

Requirements

• 5-7 years' experience in Technical Project Management.
• 5+ years' experience in all facets of the web application development life cycle, including requirement analysis, architecture, design, code, UAT, and post-implementation revisions.
• Experience with tools like Java, JSP, Servlets, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, JavaScript, and Angular.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to self-manage.
• Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines.
• Understanding of web development phases and processes.
• Finance Services experience.
