About the position

The IT Technical Services Technician I will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of software and hardware systems within the organization. This position requires a proactive approach to resolving technical issues, adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure timely support for end users. The technician will be responsible for addressing a variety of end-user challenges through a ticketing system, utilizing both local and remote troubleshooting skills. A basic understanding of computer software and hardware products is essential to effectively resolve client issues and maintain a positive relationship with both clients and colleagues. In this role, the technician will install department-approved applications on independent contractors' computers and will be the first point of contact for users experiencing difficulties with software or hardware. This includes receiving telephone calls from users, diagnosing problems, and providing guidance on the use of specific software, electronic mail, or operating systems. Effective communication with co-workers is vital for researching problems and finding solutions quickly and efficiently. The technician will also be responsible for documenting time and notes in each ticket as work progresses, ensuring a clear record of actions taken and solutions provided. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0 - 1 years' experience in a customer-facing technical role.
  • Knowledge in Windows OS, Mac OS, and Microsoft Office.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of PC and software systems.
  • Creativity, imagination, and ability to multi-task.
  • High stress tolerance and strong attention to detail.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish required.
