About the position

Infosys BPM is seeking a skilled, dedicated, and proactive Systems Engineer with strong interpersonal and technical skills to operate in an enterprise environment. The candidate will be part of the regional IT technical support team, responsible for providing service restoration, fulfilling service requests, and advising users to ensure maximum availability, performance, and utilization of knowledge and information systems. The role requires a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem-solving to meet set standards and agreed procedures. The Systems Engineer will execute transactions as per prescribed timelines and provide analysis of issues and inputs for problem management. Additionally, the candidate will leverage a best effort method for issue resolution through cross-functional coordination and support the team lead in training, reviews, and escalation handling. The responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading software and hardware, seeking innovative solutions to problems, and making recommendations for implementations. The candidate will also identify, recommend, and participate in process improvement initiatives, maintain hardware and software inventory, and ensure system security via software installed within endpoints. A broad knowledge of current and emerging systems technologies is essential, along with the ability to analyze system upgrades and make recommendations. The role also involves troubleshooting problems as they arise and considering contingency plans, as well as addressing all IT hardware issues as they occur.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading software and hardware
  • Seeking innovative solutions to problems and making recommendations for implementations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
  • Minimum 3 years of experience related to the job description

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Windows operating system: Windows 11 Enterprise
  • Experience analyzing symptoms for accurate isolation of user and network problems
  • Computer/networking systems planning skills
  • Ability to install and maintain personal computers and networks
  • Knowledge of current technological developments in area of expertise
