About the position

The IT Technical Support III position is responsible for providing advanced desk side and call center support to end users, focusing on troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues. This role serves as an escalation point for lower-level IT support technicians and requires a strong background in various IT disciplines. The position involves independent research and resolution of user issues, as well as managing incident and service requests through the IT service management system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide desk side and call center support to end users for complex IT issues.
  • Act as an escalation point for IT Support Tech level 3.
  • Research end-user issues and develop remediation plans.
  • Perform independent research and resolution support.
  • Create, update, and close incident and service requests using the IT service management system.
  • Adhere to IT processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in desk side and/or service desk IT support.
  • Broad knowledge in IT disciplines including computing, hardware, software, productivity tools, applications, and networking.
  • CompTIA A+ certification may substitute for 1 year of experience.
  • AA Degree and 4+ years of experience or 6+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to pass a Public Trust Background Investigation.
