About the position

As a Technical Support Specialist at Morley, you will play a crucial role in assisting associates with their computing needs, ensuring they can work efficiently and safely. This position is designed for individuals looking to advance their IT careers in a supportive and growth-oriented environment. You will utilize your problem-solving skills and technical expertise to address various technical issues, enabling associates to provide exceptional service to our Fortune 500 clients. The role is hybrid, requiring you to work primarily on-site at our Saginaw, Michigan campus, with occasional remote work. The corporate office offers a friendly and casual atmosphere, conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. Your responsibilities will include providing help desk and desktop application support, troubleshooting, upgrading, and maintaining PC desktop and laptop systems and peripherals. You will also support System and Network Administrators in their daily workloads, ensuring that all desktop and laptop systems are properly configured, tested, and verified before and after deployment. Additionally, you will implement security systems to protect data integrity and support compliance in system security and user access. This position requires a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic. You will be expected to meet deadlines and manage various tasks efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the IT department and the organization as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Provide help desk and desktop application support.
  • Troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain PC desktop and laptop systems and peripherals.
  • Support System and Network Administrators in daily workloads.
  • Ensure that all desktop and laptop systems are properly configured and tested before deployment.
  • Verify system connectivity and accessibility post-deployment.
  • Provide operational documentation for common operational tasks.
  • Implement security systems to protect and maintain data integrity.
  • Support compliance in system security, user access, and authentication.
  • Escalate issues as necessary.
  • Assist in supporting corporate email systems, calendaring, and scheduling software.
  • Execute all related assignments as instructed by senior management.

Requirements

  • A positive, self-starter attitude with a solid work ethic and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10 and 11, various web browsers, printers, Active Directory, remote desktop, and some networking skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Saginaw, Michigan, as needed.
  • Availability to work 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Eastern time, Monday - Friday, with occasional after-hours or weekend support for high-priority projects.
  • Associate degree in computer science or related field, or one or more years of experience in computer support.
  • Proven expertise in supporting currently installed hardware platforms.
