About the position

The IT Technical Support Specialist - SAP User Provisioning will be a key member of the IT Helpdesk team, responsible for supporting SAP security administration and providing general IT support. This role focuses on user provisioning, managing SAP roles, and assisting in the transition to SAP's HANA-based systems, ensuring effective access management and technical support for users.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and delete SAP user accounts and roles across modules (e.g., ECC, CRM, BW, Mobile, Portal).
  • Implement and maintain change management workflows for SAP role requests.
  • Test and implement role changes across SAP landscapes.
  • Collaborate with auditors to identify and correct SAP access vulnerabilities.
  • Provide help desk support for PC hardware (desktops, laptops, peripherals) and software (Windows 10/11, Office 365, and business applications).
  • Troubleshoot technical issues involving Citrix servers, Windows networks, and remote access technologies.
  • Assist in creating and updating documentation for help desk policies and technical specifications.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Technical Support Engineers, and SAP consultants.
  • Address end-user queries and access issues promptly.
  • Escalate critical technical issues to IT management or BASIS administrators.
  • Assist in designing new SAP functionalities as requirements evolve.
  • Maintain consistent testing and implementation processes for SAP modules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience with SAP security administration.
  • Exposure to SAP Basis and application modules.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows environments and Office 365 applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Active Directory group administration for SAP permissions is a plus.
  • Certifications or additional IT training are advantageous.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAP S4 HANA knowledge.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills for IT hardware and software support.
