About the position

The IT Field Technician will serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day IT support requests and technical triage efforts, both on-site and remotely. This role involves collaborating with the Director of IT to provide updates on issues and unresolved problems while traveling to various store locations in New York and New Jersey to resolve IT-related issues. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software, deploying new equipment, and maintaining a good working relationship with both corporate and store management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for day-to-day support requests and technical triage efforts, both on-site and remotely.
• Respond to service tickets in a timely manner, coordinating with other IT Field Technicians.
• Provide hardware and software troubleshooting and repair, both remotely and during on-site visits.
• Deploy new/replacement equipment as needed.
• Manage inventory and IT equipment alongside other IT Field Technicians.
• Build strong working relationships with corporate and store management to ensure project completion and IT issue resolution.
• Act as a point of contact with vendors for service calls related to phone systems, hardware, and software.
• Assist the IT Department with projects for existing stores and new store openings.
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned.

Requirements

• AS/BS Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience working in IT in a relevant capacity.
• Willingness to travel between store locations daily.
• Must have a reliable automobile and a valid NYS driver's license.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain site and service logs.
• Excellent communication skills, time management, and project management skills are crucial.
• Flexibility to meet the IT demands of stores and corporate employees.
