About the position

The IT Technician role is a freelance position focused on providing on-call IT support to clients. The technician will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on end-user computing devices and peripheral equipment at corporate locations. This position requires effective communication and problem resolution skills, acting as a liaison between customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support to Authorized Users with operational and technical support and meet specified SLAs
• Resolve incidents and problems associated with EUC equipment
• Perform reactive troubleshooting to effectively identify potential incidents or problems
• Support Authorized Users in connecting to corporate network and assist in accessing LAN, print, and file services
• Provide repair and maintenance for mobile devices
• Install, upgrade, and repair EUC equipment (desktops, laptops, monitors, and associated peripherals)
• Provide software break/fix services and replacement of non-warranty assets for end users
• Provide network printers and scanner network connectivity
• Provide warranty and break/fix support for networked printers and scanners
• Configure and support end users on mobile computing platforms
• Provide VIP support for various equipment including desktop devices and mobile devices
• Create, change, and remove printer configurations and queues based on requests
• Provide on-site hardware support for general troubleshooting
• Utilize problem management databases to track and report on customer calls and requests
• Communicate technical information to technical and non-technical teams and customers
• Provide deskside support services as required

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a relevant field
• 3 years of IT support experience
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing end-user computing devices
