About the position

The IT Technician/HelpDesk Technician role at Richline IT Solutions is a full-time position focused on providing exceptional technical support to clients. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving various IT issues, performing routine maintenance, and providing both on-site and remote support. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote access.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of IT issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, security patches, and backups.
  • Respond to on-site service calls to resolve technical issues at client locations.
  • Conduct network assessments, hardware installations, and other on-site tasks.
  • Utilize remote monitoring and management tools to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Remotely troubleshoot and resolve technical problems for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of technical procedures, client configurations, and incident resolution.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of IT fundamentals, including networking, hardware, and software.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other common software applications.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A+ certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience using ticketing systems such as ConnectWise Manage PSA or similar for incident management is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in IT support for 2 years (preferred).
