About the position

The IT Technician I at CorTrust Bank is responsible for supporting and maintaining the bank's technology infrastructure, including computer systems and networks. This role involves installing, monitoring, and troubleshooting hardware and software, ensuring efficient operation and high-quality customer service. The technician will work in a collaborative environment focused on employee well-being and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software faults, and replace parts as needed.
  • Test and evaluate new technology and support the roll-out of new applications.
  • Set up and manage system accesses for new and existing users.
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair faults and set up systems.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with internal and external clients and adhere to phone etiquette policies.
  • Respond to tickets and requests within service agreement timeframes.
  • Resolve issues and set up systems by clearly communicating a series of actions in person or over the phone.
  • Establish and maintain rapport and trust with customers, vendors, and third-party affiliates and professionals.
  • Assist internal customers with password help, administration, and resets.
  • Compile and maintain administrative and procedural documentation, records, and reports.

Requirements

  • Education and experience in IT support and technology management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office365, Active Directory, IOS, Android, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, Ethernet.
  • Ability to communicate thoughts, ideas, and information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with customer service best practices.
