The IT Technician I position at 300 WEST SAHARA, LLC is a critical role responsible for providing technical assistance and performing a range of tasks necessary to install, manage, and enhance the functionality of various Windows Server systems, PCs, printers, and terminals throughout the Ahern Hotel and Convention Center (AHC). This position is essential for ensuring that all IT systems operate efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the organization. The technician will assist in both Windows PC/server application and hardware support, management, and deployment, serving as the first line of support for desktop systems and end-user inquiries when required. In this role, the IT Technician I will be responsible for quality assurance and continuous improvement within their job scope. They will adhere to company-controlled documentation and contribute to the corporation's quality initiatives by planning, communicating, and encouraging team contributions toward quality improvement efforts. The technician will evaluate, test, and install new software releases and system upgrades, resolving any software-related issues that arise. They will also create, manage, and deploy software system accounts, monitor and update system configurations to ensure data integrity, and develop documentation to support ongoing maintenance and specific problem resolution. The technician will work closely with IT/IS staff to implement solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations, keeping abreast of new applications and technologies that impact server, network, and PC performance. Responsibilities also include performing system administration on network servers and PC systems, addressing hardware functionality and performance proactively, and installing and supporting network-related hardware and cabling, PC/server hardware, printers, and IT accessories. Additionally, the technician will support and enforce AHC policies and procedures to comply with State, Federal, PCI, and Gaming regulations as needed. The role requires the ability to provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotating basis and may involve travel as needed.
