About the position

The IT Technician II at Stifel is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems and technologies. This role involves collaborating with other IT technicians to ensure the smooth operation of hardware and software, assisting staff with technical challenges, and providing support for various devices. The position requires occasional travel and may involve night and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Install and resolve technical issues with user PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, and mobile devices
• Assist customers and staff with hardware and software challenges
• Escalate issues to appropriate support member/team when necessary
• Provide setup of equipment for employee use
• Install cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
• Maintain records of tickets and daily data communication transactions
• Maintain working components through repair or replacement

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years technical experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Proficient in Windows and Mac
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to listen and understand basic system issues and work towards a solution
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates
• Ability to understand key objectives and prioritize tasks
