About the position

The IT Technician II - Endpoint role at Stifel involves maintaining computer systems and technologies, providing technical support to associates, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT equipment. This position requires collaboration with other IT technicians to resolve hardware and software issues, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Install and resolve technical issues with user PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, and mobile devices
• Assist customers and staff with hardware and software challenges
• Escalate issues to appropriate support member/team when necessary
• Provide setup of equipment for employee use
• Install cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
• Maintain records of tickets and daily data communication transactions
• Maintain working components through repair or replacement
• Travel occasionally for work, including night and weekend work as well as overnight travel (up to 15%).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years technical experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Proficient in Windows and Mac
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to listen and understand basic system issues and work towards a solution
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates
• Ability to understand key objectives and prioritize tasks.
