About the position

The IT Desktop Technician II at Banner Health is responsible for KM Printer Support and general printer support in the Central Phoenix area. This role involves responding to incidents, troubleshooting printer repairs, and collaborating with other IT teams on print configuration. The technician will evaluate printing needs and make recommendations in line with PrintSmart policies, ensuring customer satisfaction and effective IT support services.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to incidents paged out by the support desk.
  • Troubleshoot and manage printer repairs.
  • Work closely with other IT teams involved with print configuration and application printing.
  • Evaluate printing in areas and make recommendations for changes aligning with PrintSmart policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of standard work routines and equipment.
  • Apply intermediate level instructions and procedures to resolve IT-related problems.
  • Demonstrate communication skills and self-direction in completing daily responsibilities.
  • Complete assignments within established procedures and maintain an organized environment.
  • Maintain current professional and technical knowledge relating to the healthcare industry.
  • Take high-level responsibility for selected information systems.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or two years of related experience in Information Technology.
  • Proficient in the use and operation of a wide range of desktop and mobile devices.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office O365 applications is required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and interact with various levels of customers and support groups.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
