About the position

The IT Technician II position at Banner Health is focused on providing advanced technical support for software and hardware issues within the Remote Desktop Support department. This role involves responding to break/fix incidents and requests, acting as a liaison with other IT teams, and managing high-priority escalated issues. The position requires strong technical knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment, ensuring customer satisfaction for all IT activities and support services.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to break/fix incidents and requests for technical support.
  • Act as a liaison with other IT teams and manage high-priority escalated issues.
  • Document issues, problems, and concerns regarding IT resources, tools, and systems.
  • Apply intermediate level instructions and procedures to resolve IT-related problems.
  • Maintain knowledge of standard work routines and day-to-day activities.
  • Complete assignments within established procedures and maintain an organized environment.
  • Participate in meetings, presentations, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Maintain current professional and technical knowledge related to the healthcare industry.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or two years of related experience in Information Technology.
  • Proficient in the use and operation of a wide range of desktop and mobile devices and network connectivity.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office O365 applications is required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and interact with various levels of customers and support groups.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
