About the position

The Laboratory IT Technician at LNK International, Inc. is responsible for providing IT support specifically for laboratory systems, ensuring compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 regulations. This role involves interfacing with lab vendors, overseeing IT services, and supporting both lab and corporate environments. The technician will utilize their technical knowledge to implement and support lab IT initiatives, while also performing general IT support tasks across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT technical support for software and hardware in the Quality Control Lab environment.
• Interface with lab vendors to ensure appropriate IT services are delivered.
• Oversee vendor support and maintain support logs during visits and calls.
• Act as the IT subject matter expert for lab software and hardware.
• Perform general problem solving and assistance for diverse software applications and hardware systems.
• Maintain and update the ticket tracking system and document projects.
• Coordinate and maintain records related to network users, security, and inventory levels.
• Perform advanced technological systems support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
• Participate in research and development initiatives and implement new technologies.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on systems and provide technical guidance to users.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience directly related to IT support in a laboratory environment.
• Knowledge of a wide range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
• Familiarity with Win10/11, O365, Azure, Active Directory, and PowerShell.
• Ability to analyze and resolve computer problems effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with laboratory-specific software such as Empower, PerkinElmer, and LIMS.
• Knowledge of network hardware and wiring.
