About the position

Cobb Technologies, a forward-thinking leader in the tech industry for over 30 years, is seeking a skilled Level 2 IT Technician to join our growing team. You'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional IT support to our employees and clients while helping enhance our IT systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide second-level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated help desk tickets efficiently.
  • Assist with diagnosing and resolving advanced technical problems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Support Active Directory user management, group policies, and permissions.
  • Ensure endpoint security, including antivirus and patch management.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members on projects like deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical users.
  • Maintain detailed records of issues, solutions, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on support trends.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance IT service delivery and efficiency.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated with industry standards and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 IT support role.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Office 365, VPNs, remote desktop tools, and ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities with hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
