About the position
The IT Technician at Stellar Energy Americas Inc. is responsible for assessing, maintaining, installing, and configuring various hardware and software solutions within the manufacturing environment. This role involves troubleshooting server and PC issues, supporting networking, VOIP, and wireless technologies, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems to enhance energy performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot inbound communication from users reporting software and hardware issues.
- Procure, maintain, and administer computers and office equipment, as well as corporate software systems.
- Evaluate software and hardware solutions and provide recommendations for management review.
- Write or revise user training materials, knowledge base articles, or other IT documentation.
- Research problems and find solutions as a reliable team member.
- Develop and implement processes, policies, and project management abilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience and/or certifications.
- Three or more years of experience working in IT operations.
- Knowledgeable in cloud platforms (i.e., Entra, M365, AWS) and deployment experience.
- Experience with server-level operating systems, virtual hosting, and networking.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies and platforms.
