About the position

The IT Technician is a crucial role within the Information Technology department, responsible for the administration and support of all hardware and software utilized in property operations. This position involves the setup of new hardware, installation and troubleshooting of company-approved software, and delivering exceptional customer service to end users through effective problem resolution and process demonstration. The IT Technician will ensure that all computing systems are compliant with regulatory environments and will maintain and support user-based computer applications across various property functions, including gaming, hotel management, and point of sale systems. In this role, the IT Technician will be tasked with maintaining timely and complete communication between the corporate IT team and all property IT staff. This includes capturing and deploying standardized workstation configurations, ensuring that PCs are maintained at current configuration levels, and providing support to users in system and software administration. The technician will also be responsible for coordinating maintenance schedules, backups, and downtime notifications to users, as well as creating and maintaining technical documentation to support IT operations. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the organization. The IT Technician will play a vital role in ensuring that all technology-related issues are addressed promptly and effectively, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of property operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administration and support for all property operation's hardware and software.
  • Setup new hardware and install company-approved software.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and provide quality customer service to end users.
  • Maintain timely communication between corporate IT and property IT staff.
  • Support all property-wide user-based computer applications, including gaming and point of sale systems.
  • Ensure compliance of computing systems with regulatory environments.
  • Capture and deploy standardized workstation configurations.
  • Maintain PCs to current configuration levels.
  • Provide user support in system and software administration and usage.
  • Communicate and coordinate maintenance schedules, backups, and downtime to users.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must possess 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Experience in gaming system software applications is required.
  • Familiarity with general Windows and SQL Server functionality, operations, and security is necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English both orally and in writing.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain gaming licenses in required jurisdictions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Aristocrat Oasis gaming application is a plus.
  • Understanding of major business processes within Gaming.
