About the position

Bayside Networks is seeking a Tier 1 IT Technician to provide quality customer service support primarily using Microsoft-based technologies. This role is crucial for maintaining client relations and ensuring technical issues are resolved efficiently. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in IT support, particularly within a Managed Service Provider environment, and will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service support for clients using Microsoft-based technologies.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Azure, Intune, Defender, and SharePoint.
  • Manage and support server infrastructure including Hyper-V, Domain AD, DHCP, DNS, and print/file servers.
  • Utilize remote access technologies such as FortiVPN and Cisco AnyConnect.
  • Ensure compliance with Cyber Security Standards.
  • Document helpdesk interactions and manage tickets using ITIL processes.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience as an IT Technician, preferably in a Managed Service Provider environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 Administration.
  • Experience with server management and services (Hyper-V, Domain AD, DHCP, DNS).
  • Familiarity with remote access technologies (FortiVPN, Cisco AnyConnect).
  • Understanding of Cyber Security Compliance Standards at an intermediate level.
  • Basic knowledge of MacOS and Linux is a plus.
  • Experience with helpdesk systems and ITIL processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a corporate or academic technical support environment for at least two years.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
