The IT Technician at General Stamping & Metalworks is a pivotal role responsible for delivering exceptional IT support and help desk assistance to team members. This position requires a strong background in first-level IT support, with a focus on troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. The ideal candidate will possess excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users. The IT Technician will be expected to respond to support requests via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring timely resolution and documentation using the company's IT ticketing system. In addition to providing support, the IT Technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, printers, and other peripheral devices. This includes assisting with the setup and maintenance of user accounts, conducting regular system maintenance and updates, and collaborating with other IT team members to resolve complex issues. The role also involves providing training and guidance to users on best practices and efficient use of technology, as well as maintaining an inventory of IT assets to ensure proper asset management. The IT Technician will report directly to the Digital Director and will not have any direct reports.
