About the position

Apogee Engineering LLC is seeking a full-time IT Technician to provide Tier I and Tier II help desk support for the United States Space Force (USSF) at Peterson AFB, CO. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, and ensuring the operational efficiency of IT devices and systems. The technician will work closely with senior techs and customers to deliver high-quality technical support and maintain various IT infrastructures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier I and Tier II help desk technical support to customers and peers.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and assist with account administration requests.
  • Install, maintain, configure, troubleshoot, and repair IT devices and software.
  • Utilize Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) and BMC Remedy for user and computer account management.
  • Monitor trouble ticket queues and emails for timely customer engagement and resolution.
  • Interact with senior techs and customers to exchange information effectively.
  • Provide software license management for Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) software.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an IAT Level 2 certification such as CompTIA Security+ within 6 months of hire.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-3+ years of relevant IT support experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016.
  • Familiarity with Dame Ware Remote Control and Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA).
